The Detroit Lions have finally made a move at wide receiver, and it’s a good one. Amon-Ra St. Brown is off the board with the 112th overall pick, and the people are absolutely loving it. St. Brown is definitely not the fastest wide receiver, but more than makes up for it with his elite explosion. Most importantly, he was productive in college, and that’s got folks excited.

ARSB is the only WR left on day 3 who is worth taking IMO.

St. Brown also comes from a very strong (physically, academically, and metaphorically) football family. His older brother Equanimeous plays for the Green Bay Packers, and his dad is former Mr. Universe.

Speaking of working out, here’s how St. Brown spent Friday night after going unselected through three rounds:

Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of my favorite people in the draft. He took the SAT in English, French, and German. He’s also good at football.

The cherry on top is the continuation of amazing names for the Lions’ draft picks through two and a half days thus far. Penei Sewell, Levi Onwuzurike, Alim McNeill, Ifeatu Melifonwu, and Amon-Ra St. Brown (and, at this rate, whoever else the Lions may pick) are going to give the Lions a real handful in the upcoming seasons.
