How the Lions draft picks will make an immediate impact

The rebuild is going to take time, but the Lions got key pieces for the future.

NFL: NFL Draft Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The 2021 NFL Draft is in the books, and the fireworks and endorphins are starting to fade. The Detroit Lions go home from Cleveland happy, having drafted a starting offensive tackle, a gaggle of defensive standouts and some other pieces.

The Pride of Detroit PODcast is breaking down every pick and honing in on how the Lions plan to use each athlete. We discuss why Penei Sewell was the right choice over reaching for a quarterback, the plan to rebuild the defensive line from the inside, plus how much role Day 3 guys like Amon-Ra St. Brown will play in the coming months for the Lions.

This is it: our capstone to the draft season. It is the culmination of nearly 11 hours of livestreams and multiple podcasts, not to mention unaccountable hours in writing. If you’re not following on Twitch (link below) you should be, and from there you can find the link to our Discord community as we continue to expand across the social media spheres to bring you the best Lions talk and coverage imaginable.

Subscribe to the PODcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher or iHeartRadio. Follow Pride Of Detroit on Twitch and on YouTube to get notified when we record the PODcast live and chat with us. Video replays are available on both Twitch and YouTube (and there’s a lot more bonus content on the video replays).
