“Let’s go win some freakin ball games baby!!!“

On Wednesday, the Detroit Lions made Frank Ragnow the highest-paid center in the NFL with a four-year extension worth just under $70 million. Friday morning he spoke to local media and shared how this new contract would allow him to fulfill his childhood dream of giving back to his parents.

Later that afternoon, Ragnow took to social media to expand on the list of people he wanted to show gratitude for and released the following statement:

“I’m not sure if there is a character limit on this app but here we go.... I am so grateful to the Ford Family, Rod Wood, Brad Holmes, Coach Campbell, Mike Disner and everyone in the organization for believing in me and letting me be a part of the Detroit Lion’s future. Thank you to my amazing agents @athletesfirstfamily for helping get this thing done. I am a product of a village of people that have helped get me here today and will help me continue to be the best person and player I can be in the future. My parents Jon and Marty Ragnow are two of the most incredible people on earth. My Dad was my best friend and he was able to teach me so much to make me who I am today. My mom is my hero. Thank you for being the glue that holds us together and showing me every day how to be strong, selfless and kind. My siblings are my best friends and I’m so thankful for all of you supporting me, inspiring me and laughing with me. My fiancé Lucy is my rock and my person I truly don’t know where I’d be without you. The Ragnow and Scroggs family are the most elite supporters and fans in the country thank you all. Thank you to my friends whether it’s ILC or Sack Seas, Devon, Weber, Sam Ryan, JB, Mitch, Pete, my fishing buddies, Hjalte, Maxon Sebastian and so many more. My hometown and the Chanhassen/Chaska community thank you so much! You have supported me since day one. Razorback nation thank you for all of your support in the past and now. So grateful for so many coaches that have been there for me in so many ways. Highschool to Pros. Strength Staff and position coaches especially. Grateful for all of my teammates past and present showing me how to be great and supporting me as a friend. So thankful to be a Lion and have the support of Lions fans everywhere. Let’s go win some freakin ball games baby!!! The journey has just begun but man I’m just so filled with gratitude today. I love you all #OnePride #GrizzlyManOutdoors #TeamFrank #WPS #StormNation #ILC #SackSeas #newfishinggear

On behalf of the Pride of Detroit staff, I want to offer our sincerest congratulations to Ragnow on his life-altering achievement.
