Ask POD: What did we learn about Brad Holmes from the draft ?

Now that the dust has cleared, what do we know about the Lions GM now?

AP

The Detroit Lions 2021 draft is complete, and we’ve now had a full week to digest everything that happened. We’ve looked at depth charts, we’ve picked out winners and losers, and even made a way-too-early 53-man roster prediction (that’s already inaccurate after the waiving of Kerryon Johnson).

But on this week’s Locker Room Q&A session with Lions fans, we talked about something slightly different: What did the draft tell us about the Lions’ new general manager Brad Holmes? What sort of tendencies can we expect in the future, and what do we think we know about his philosophy of roster building now?

Myself, Erik Schlitt, and Ryan Mathews answered these questions and much, much more on our latest Locker Room session. Other topics include: what is the Lions’ plan at wide receiver? Which UDFA has the best chance to make a Year 1 impact? Does Halapoulivaati Vaitai have the right guard spot locked up? And which free agents could the Lions still add to the roster?
