The Detroit Lions have just one more practice together as a full team before most players split until training camp in late July. We’ve already seen plenty of developments from both the first two days of minicamp and the couple weeks of organized team activities that preceded them.
So on Wednesday night following the Lions’ second minicamp practice, I jumped on our Twitch account and gave a quick recap of my biggest observations from both this week and the entire OTA sessions I was able to attend over the past few weeks. To organize my thoughts, I went position by position to make sure I was hitting all of the most important storylines from practices.
Topics include my initial thoughts on Jared Goff and the backup quarterback position, which Lions wide receivers have impressed in practice thus far, T.J. Hockenson’s growing chemistry with Goff, early impressions of the Lions’ revamped secondary, and my three biggest takeaways from practices thus far.
You can listen to all of my thoughts in the short podcast below, which doesn’t even crack 20 minutes.

You can also watch the extended version of my recap from minicamp, where I answer live questions from Lions fans exclusively on our Twitch page.
