Ask POD: Detroit Lions offseason workout recap

Mailbag time, as we head into the offseason void.

With the Detroit Lions capping mandatory minicamp on Thursday, offseason activities are nearly done for the team. About half of the players will come back next week for a set of organized team activity practices focused on the younger players on the roster. For us, the fans and the media, it means the next time we’ll see this team take the field is at the end of July for training camp.

So now it’s finally time to stop, take a breath, and just absorb everything that has happened this crazy offseason. A coach and GM search, a trading of the team’s franchise quarterback, the filling of the rest of the coaching staff, a top-10 pick in the draft, and a free agency period that saw a ton of the roster overturned. It’s exhausting just thinking about it all.

On Saturday morning, let’s all gather for a bit of a chat about it all. On the Locker Room app, myself, Ryan Mathews and Erik Schlitt will host a show where we take live questions about all things Detroit Lions. Want to know about observations at minicamp? Fair game. Want to know our favorite/least favorite moves this offseason. We gotcha. Heck, if we get enough good questions, we might start doing weekly mailbag posts on the site as well.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Download the Locker Room app (now available in beta for Android!)
  2. Add @PrideOfDetroit as a friend (You may have to search “Jeremy Reisman”)
  3. Open the app at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, June 12.
  4. Listen live, chat in the chat room, or put in a request to join the show.

If you aren’t able to join us live, you can still participate by submitting questions. You can do so by either simply adding it to the comment section below, or tweeting at @PrideOfDetroit using the hashtag #AskPOD.

See you Saturday!
