One of the best developments of NFL team media departments has been their slow progression towards transparency. The prevalence of on-field audio and behind-the-scenes videos has been slowly growing, and it’s giving NFL fans unique looks at some things they’ve never seen before.
The latest trend has been to give fans a look inside their team’s war rooms. This year, the Carolina Panthers released a video that showed them contemplating trades with their first round pick. The Broncos, too, dropped a fascinating look at their draft day happenings.
Now it appears the Detroit Lions will be joining the trend on Sunday night. The team hinted at a behind-the-scenes video on Saturday night with a Tweet that said, “RT if you want to see 37 minutes of behind-the-scenes #Lions draft content.”
Shortly after, the Lions linked to a scheduled YouTube video premiere, entitled “2021 Inside the Den Episode 3: Brad Holmes leads his first Detroit Lions draft.”
“Inside the Den” has been the Lions’ fantastic behind-the-scenes video series for the past few years. In previous seasons, it has focused solely on training camp, but given Detroit’s busy offseason featuring a regime change, there have already been two episodes. The first featured all the new faces inside the building (head coach Dan Campbell, general manager Brad Holmes, and quarterback Jared Goff), while the second episode gave an inside look into Detroit’s draft preparation.
Here’s how the third video is described on the YouTube channel:

The video is scheduled to debut at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night. You’ll be able to watch it below after it airs.
