A really cool moment for the Lions first-round pick.

Detroit Lions rookie offensive lineman Penei Sewell got to fulfill a dream this weekend, as he met Lions legend Calvin Johnson, per his Instagram account.

“Got to Meet THE ONE & ONLY Megatron... the best to ever do it ! Truly inspirational,” Sewell captioned the photo of himself, his mom and dad, Johnson.

You may recall that Johnson was a big reason Sewell grew up following the Detroit Lions. Prior to the draft, the Lions' offensive tackle told a story about how playing as Johnson in the video game series Madden NFL Football led him to follow Detroit.

“I was a big fan of Calvin Johnson,” Sewell told ProFootballTalk back before the draft. “Loved seeing him go up, get the ball. Also, the running back they had at the time was Jahvid Best. I would just use them in Madden because my brother and I would have tournaments and stuff like that, and I loved to use the underdogs.”

It’s a cool moment for the Lions’ first-round pick, and also a good sign that Johnson is becoming more and more open to interacting with the Lions franchise again.
