Ask POD: Packing for camp

We’re officially just two weeks away from Detroit Lions training camp, and once that starts, things are going to ramp up in a hurry. Before you know it the preseason—yes, remember the preseason?—will be here, and we’ll get our first look at a game scenario for the new Lions regime.

I can’t remember the last time Lions fans were this excited at the start of a new regime, with head coach Dan Campbell currently rocking at a 97 percent approval rating. And that’s just the tip of the optimism iceberg. The staff around Campbell is widely considered extremely impressive, and if they can work some of their magic in Year 1, maybe the Lions can surprise some teams. Michael Brockers certainly seems to believe so.

So we’re getting ready for training camp, and we’re packing a whole bunch of optimism, because why the hell not?

But before we head to Allen Park, we’ve got a couple more Saturday morning Q&As to conduct. If you haven’t joined us for one of these yet, you’ve got to try it out.
