Sunday open thread: Which Lions player are you most excited to hear about during training camp?

Detroit Lions Training camp is just around the corner with less than two weeks until the gates open at Allen Park. Season ticket holders are able to get their first look on July 31, while practice is open to the general public starting August 2. Since fans were unable to attend due to the coronavirus last year, I’m expecting a sizable crowd and plenty of excitement this year.

We’ve already discussed training camp battles, so let’s focus on individual players this time around. There are plenty of new faces in Detroit to get excited about, as well as old faces that have the opportunity to take a leap forward in 2021.

What Lions player are you most excited to hear about during training camp?

My answer: If I had to narrow it down to one player, I’d be keeping my eyes on rookie wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. This was one of my favorite picks from the draft, and I truly believe that he has the opportunity to make a huge impact from Day 1. With how thin the Lions are at the wide receiver position, I’d be disappointed if he didn’t establish himself as one of Jared Goff’s primary targets.
