For the first time in nearly two years, the Detroit Lions will play in front of a crowd on Saturday morning. Sure, it’s only a practice, but after dealing with COVID-19 restrictions for all of 2020, it will be exciting for both the fans and the players to vibe off each other’s energy.
There are even more benefits to a live crowd, too. When fans are present, local media is allowed to provide live updates on Twitter, meaning you’ll get some true LIVE updates as the Lions take the field for the fourth straight day of training camp.
So make sure you’re following at least three Twitter accounts for Saturday: the official Pride of Detroit account (@PrideOfDetroit), my account (@DetroitOnLion) and our managing editor Erik Schlitt (@erikschlitt). We’ll all be live from Allen Park providing updates, quotes, and any other news that breaks on Saturday morning. We’ll also have a live-updating Twitter list at the bottom of this post with updates from everyone else at practice.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell is scheduled to speak at 8 a.m. ET with practice kicking off at 8:30 a.m. ET.
