How to watch Lions vs. Steelers: Kickoff time, TV channels, online streaming, more

Who’s ready for some Saturday night football?

The Detroit Lions preseason continues on Saturday night with a bout against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lions head coach Dan Campbell has indicated that he may plan on resting some starters for the rest of the preseason—including, possibly, quarterback Jared Goff—while it appears the Steelers may be treating this matchup as their dress rehearsal game.

That could provide an interesting dynamic and the Lions’ first true tough test. Last week, the Buffalo Bills sat many of their key starters, including Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. The Steelers appear prepared to play Ben Roethlisberger and other key contributors. Can some of the Lions’ reserves keep up against a decent Steelers offense? Could this team prove to be deeper than originally believed? Either way, Saturday night should provide a good learning experience and litmus test for this Lions team that remains a pretty big mystery.

Lucky for Lions fans, Saturday’s game—like the opener—is nationally televised. If you’re not in the local market, tune in to NFL Network at 7:30 p.m. For those in the local market, the game will be televised on your local Detroit Lions football affiliate (FOX 2 in Detroit).
