For the first time in the Dan Campbell era, IT’S GAME WEEK!

Sure, it may just be a preseason game, but the Detroit Lions are about to play some competitive football for the first time in eight months, and that feels like a reason to celebrate.

The Lions return to Allen Park’s practice field on Monday for their first afternoon practice. It should be an interesting challenge for the players, as the weather will be hot and muggy—as opposed to the light weather of the morning. It’ll be interesting to see if the Lions approach this week as a normal game week—albeit with a Friday game instead of Sunday.

It will be also interesting to see Detroit’s injury situation, considering the Lions had over a dozen players out during Saturday’s scrimmage at Ford Field.

We’ll be live on site giving you updates as they come in. It’ll all start around 2 p.m. ET with Dan Campbell’s press conference and practice to follow at 2:30. You can get updates from us via Twitter @PrideOfDetroit or @DetroitOnLion. Or you can hang out here and get updates from all of Lions' media in our embedded list below.

Note: It appears the weather may call for rain. If the Lions move practice inside, we will no longer be able to live tweet the event. That being said, we will still be able to provide observations after practice has concluded. If the practice stays outdoors in front of fans, we will provide live tweets for practice.
