The Trade That Instantly Makes The Lions A Favorite To Contend For A Super Bowl!

Is this the perfect storm?

Tampa Bay has replaced their coach, Tom Brady is not going back to Tampa and that team is very old.

Tampa is about to rebuild and has to clear their books, find a QB and get an OL.

Lions could make the GODFATHER offer like this:

Lion’s trade their 2024, 2025, 2026 1st round picks to TAMPA FOR:

#19 #50 #208 and Mike Evans

WHY THE LIONS MAKE THE TRADE:

Brad Holmes has this team 75% ready to make a run and he is accustomed to drafting without a 1st round pick so by offering Tampa 3 first round picks for a their 1st this year & 2 lesser picks and an aging WR with a big cap number, Tampa can focus on 2024 to rebuild that team and the Lions can ignite their 2023 into a Super Bowl contending team. Tampa can absolutely sell to their fan base that they got 3 1st round picks back. That has a lot of juice!

WHAT DOES THIS DRAFT LOOK LIKE IF THEY MAKE THE TRADE?

#6 This pick could still be used for a trade down if teams looking for a QB see one available

Think of a combination of the following players that shoudl be avalilable wiht the 3 1st round picks:

DL Brian Breese, Edge Tyre Wilson,CB Devon Witherspoon, CB Joey Porter, RB B’Jan Robinson DL Siaki Ika

THEY NOW HAVE 3 2ND ROUND PICKS

Players that could be available: LB Trenton Simpson, LB Jack Campbell, TE Darnell Washington, TE Sam Laporta,

LB De Marvion Overshown, LB Noah Sewell, S Sydney Brown, S Jordan Battle, CB Emmanuel Forbes, S JL Skinner

C John Michael Schmitz QB Tanner MCKee QB Hendon Hooker

The draft is very deep in areas where the Lion’s need the most help and by offering Tampa 3 future 1st round pick and getting back a 1st, 2nd, 7th, and a stud WR, they can instantly be considered a legit Super Bowl team. It definitely makes Tampa think about how quickly they can rebuild their team and have the future assets to get a QB in 2024. Kyle Trask will get a shot in 2023 with Brady gone but that team has an awful OL and needs to get younger quick.

Do I think this trade happens? NO! Less than 5% chance but this is the type of offer Brad Holmes can think about making because the Lions 1st round picks will more than likely be in the 20’s the next few years so why not trade them now to a team that needs to rebuild for some of their picks this year and a player like MIke Evans. The draft is NOT deep at WR and I don’t want Chark back at 10 million or anything close to that now that they have Jameson Williams ready to go.

If not Tampa, what other team is ready to rebuild that the Lion’s could target?
