The NFL opens Week 13 with an exciting “Thursday Night Football” matchup with potential NFC playoff implications when the Dallas Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks. At the moment, both the Cowboys and Seahawks are in second place in their respective divisions, which could put them in line to be future playoff opponents of the Detroit Lions.
The Cowboys (8-3) and Seahawks (6-5) have faced off 21 times in their teams' histories, with Dallas holding a 10-9 regular season advantage and each team winning one postseason contest. The Cowboys have also won their most recent matchup, back in 2020, although, the Seahawks won the five battles before that.
While this matchup figures to be entertaining, the last month has been very different for each of these teams.
The Cowboys started November out by losing to the Eagles but have gone on to win their last three games. Now, it’s worth pointing out that those wins came against the Giants, Panthers, and Commanders, who have a combined 9-26 record on the season, but wins are wins in the NFL.
Meanwhile, after starting the season 5-2, the Seahawks have lost three of their last four games. They also beat the Commanders, while falling to the Ravens, Rams, and 49ers—a much tougher slate of opponents.
The folks over at DraftKings Sportsbook are favoring the Cowboys by over a touchdown in this matchup and while the POD staff is siding with Dallas on the moneyline, it’s split against the spread.
Here is a look at who each of our staff is picking for Thursday night’s game:
