The Detroit Lions are once again playing in primetime after the NFL flexed their Week 15 matchup with the Denver Broncos into the Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET timeslot. The Lions (9-4) and the Broncos (7-6) are both fighting for a spot in the playoffs, and the outcome of this game could be a critical factor in determining if they end up playing in mid-January.

The folks over at DraftKings Sportsbook are favoring the Lions by over a field goal but the surging Broncos have won six of their last seven and will be looking to play spoiler to the home crowd fans.

Adding another fun layer to the matchup is the fact that Lions coach Dan Campbell’s mentor, Sean Payton, is currently the coach of the Broncos, and this is the first time the pair have squared off head-to-head in their coaching careers.

“We better be on our stuff because he’s going to come here to try to embarrass us,” Campbell said of Payton. “That’s what it means. And so, that’s our motivation, that’s my motivation and it’s about winning, man. All we’ve got to do is find a way to win and we’re going to have to be at our best, and we will be at our best.”
