If this post is meaningful for you then congratulations! A fantasy championship is in sight. But like the Detroit Lions, one more win is needed to continue on the quest for glory. Detroit travels to face the Minnesota Vikings this week in a matchup that has a lot of intrigue both divisionally and fantasy-wise.

The Vikings have not had the best season, in no small part due to injuries to Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson. While the Lions have taken advantage of a weaker NFC North, the job is not completed until a win over the Vikings is secured. The task is easier said than done, however, as Minnesota has a couple weapons to watch.

Today’s Question of the Day is:

What Lions-Vikings start/sit decisions are you making?

My answer: The fantasy semifinals are not the time to get cute, but there are always a couple difficult decisions that can make or break the week. For the Lions, there are really only two borderline plays. One is Jared Goff, who is probably a sit in 1QB leagues despite last week’s outburst. The other is David Montgomery, who is struggling lately and looks like a flex play at best. This one is indoors, but the road is always tough.

For the Minnesota side, do not touch Nick Mullens unless your superflex roster is in a bad place, but there are a couple interesting options to consider. I think Ty Chandler is an excellent running back play right now, and while he is unlikely to put up another top-five performance, I think he is a safe RB2. Jordan Addison certainly has a high ceiling, but I would stay away from the rookie given the stakes of this week.
