VIDEO: Sick 1-handed Brian Branch interception leads to Lions’ early 14-0 lead

Detroit Lions rookie Brian Branch made a sick one-handed INT to give the team an early shot in the arm.

Detroit Lions rookie defensive back Brian Branch got off to a hot start this season, but he’s been a bit quieter as of late.

That changed in a hurry in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. On Derek Carr’s very first pass of the game, the ball deflected off the hands of Juwan Johnson. Branch had to react quickly, and he did. The rookie out of Alabama showed off his elite reaction time by one handing the ball and bringing it into his body. Check it out:

This was Branch’s second interception of the year—his first one looked a lot like this one, too. And per the Lions PR department, Branch is now just the second Lions defensive back to notch two sacks and seven tackles for loss in a single season. Not just rookies, any Lions defensive back.

Detroit quickly turned that turnover into six points with a touchdown pass to Sam LaPorta for a quick 14-0 lead.
