The Packers play host to the Kansas City Chiefs, and if they want to prove themselves as playoff contenders in the NFC, beating the 8-3 Chiefs would do the trick. Green Bay is sitting at 5-6 on the outside looking in, but Jordan Love and the team as a whole have rebounded nicely, winning three of their last four games. While missing Aaron Jones is a tough blow for the offense, the young receivers Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed have stepped up around Love. The defense, however, will need to be more than middling against Patrick Mahomes.
It has largely been the Mahomes show in Kansas City this season. Outside of Travis Kelce, Mahomes has had little help in the receiving room this season, plagued with drops on a weekly basis. Rookie Rashee Rice looks like the closest to breaking out, having topped 100 yards last week for the first time in his career. The rushing game will factor in heavily as well with Isiah Pacheco leading the way. The Chiefs' defense has been a surprising strength this season as well, so this could be one of the more well-rounded Chiefs teams in recent years.
Will that be enough to silence the Packers and dampen their playoff hopes?
