If you missed the most recent episode, you should definitely tune in. If you haven't watched the series, you're missing a great show. The most recent episode had a segway about a rich Nigerian wanting to transform the soccer league in the UK into a far more rich enterprise.
I couldn't help but to think it was a parody about US sports. Baseball and basketball to me have transcended the common man into a realm far and away divorced from the real world. Football has its super stars also that are getting huge deals but somehow the roster size and salary cap seem to make it more reasonable to accept as relating to more average citizens. Yet there is the risk that all US sports forget the beauty and passion of their sport in lieu of shear greed.
Hopefully that won't kill our sports. Sports should be accessible to all to appreciate, enjoy, and to inspire. Joy, wonder, and much more shouldn't be priced out of the reach of anyone.
