Detroit Lions, New York Giants joint practice Day 2 live updates

A live-updating post on the latest developments from Detroit Lions joint practices with the New York Giants.

Most reports out of Day 1 of training camp joint practices suggest the Detroit Lions mostly had the upper hand over the New York Giants. Both teams certainly got their own individual wins, but the Lions seemed to do well overall.

But Lions coach Dan Campbell expects intensity to rise on Wednesday.

“I would anticipate it’s going to go up again today,” Campbell said in his morning press conference. “It’ll go another notch. Those guys will come out. I think that’s what this is about. It’s a tug-of-war. You just keep competing and see who can get the best of who every day.”

Pride of Detroit will be on site again for Day 2 of joint practices, with both myself and Erik Schlitt taking extensive notes during practice. We’ll be doing our daily podcast at the end of practice and we’ll also have observations written for the site later in the day.

But if you just can’t wait for the news to come on in, this post will provide live updates via a couple of Twitter lists. We’ve got a Twitter list of the Lions beat writers below, and underneath that, there’s a Twitter list of Giants writers.

Due to new Twitter policies, these lists will not automatically update on this page. Rather, you’ll have to click through to Twitter to actually see them. But if you want to help out a fellow Lions fan, feel free to embed some of the most interesting tweets in the comment section at the bottom of the page.
